Mayor Canaday called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

Pledge of Allegiance

Councilor Trent led the flag salute.

Attendance

Present: Mayor Canaday, Mayor Pro-Tem Coumbs, Councilor Trent, Councilor Anzelini and Councilor Elmore.

Absent: Councilor Bates and Councilor Henderson.

1. Approval of Agenda - As Presented

COUNCILOR TRENT MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR ANZELINI, TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED...motion PASSED...5-0.

2. Comments by the Public on Non Agenda Items

Joyce Barnes, Centralia, updated the Council on fund-raising for the Save the Outdoor Pool (STOP) group.

3. Presentations

a. Flood Authority Update - Ron Averill

Mr. Averil updated the Council on the Flood Authority.

b. Lewis County Update - Commissioner Fund

Com. Fund spoke on Flood Authority issues.

4. Reports

Councilor Anzelini - had no report.

Councilor Elmore - reported he attended Business After Hours, the Hub City Car Show and a fundraiser for a local family.

Mayor Pro-Tem Coumbs - reported he attended the Fair and numerous events on Saturday.

Councilor Trent - had no report.@

Mayor Canaday - reported she attended the outdoor pool fundraiser, Garlic Festival, Hub City Car Show, Yard Bird ribbon cutting, Music in the Park, Chehalis Basin Partnership, RFA, LC Transportation, New Balance ribbon cutting, Business After Hours, the Fair and the exit conference for the audit.

Rob Hill - reported on the exit conference for the audit and the outdoor pool.

5. Consent Agenda

MAYOR PRO-TEM COUMBS MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR ANZELINI , TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS PRESENTED...motion PASSED...5-0.

6. Consideration of the Greenwood Lane Annexation

COUNCILOR ANZELINI MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR TRENT, TO CONSIDER THE GREENWOOD LANE ANNEXATION...

City Attorney Shannon Murphy-Olson reviewed the information on the proposed annexation.

Ken Schaefer, Centralia, addressed the Council and spoke in favor of the annexation.

Mayor Canaday called for a vote on the motion...motion PASSED...5-0.

7. Consideration of the Eshom Road Annexation

COUNCILOR ANZELINI MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR TRENT, TO CONSIDER THE ESHOM ROAD ANNEXATION...

Bill Roark, Centralia, addressed the Council and spoke in favor of the annexation.

Mayor Canaday called for a vote on the motion...motion PASSED...5-0.@

8. Public Hearing related to declaring certain personal property surplus

Mayor Canaday opened the public hearing at 7:40 pm.

Public Works Director Kahle Jennings briefly reviewed the property to be surplus. There being no public comment,

Mayor Canaday closed the public hearing at 7:43 pm.

9. Consideration of a resolution declaring certain personal property surplus (Utilities)

COUNCILOR TRENT MOVED, SECONDED BY MAYOR PRO-TEM COUMBS, TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY SURPLUS (UTILITIES)...motion PASSED...5-0.

10. Consideration of a resolution declaring certain personal property surplus (Police)

COUNCILOR ANZELINI MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR TRENT, TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY SURPLUS (POLICE)...motion PASSED...5-0.

11. Executive Session to discuss Real Estate pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(b)&

COUNCILOR ELMORE MOVED, SECONDED BY MAYOR PRO-TEM COUMBS, TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS REAL ESTATE PURSUANT TO RCW 42.30.110(1)(B) & FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES WITH NOTHING TO REPORT AFTER...motion PASSED...5-0.

The Executive Session was called to order at 7:54 pm and adjourned at 8:24 pm with noting to report.

Adjournment

Mayor Canaday adjourned the meeting at 8:24 pm.
