Mayor Canaday called the regular meeting to order at 7:01 pm.

Pledge of Allegiance

Councilor Anzelini led the pledge of allegiance.

Attendance

Present: Mayor Canaday, Mayor Pro-Tem Elmore, Councilor Coumbs, Councilor Greenwood, Councilor Ricks, Councilor Anzelini and Councilor Vogt.

Absent:. None.

1. Swearing in of Max Vogt to the position of Centralia City Council District #3

City Clerk Deena Bilodeau swore in Max Vogt.

2. Approval of Agenda - As Presented

COUNCILOR RICKS MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR ANSELINI, TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED...motion PASSED...7-0.

3. Comments by the Public on Non Agenda Items

There were none.

4. Proclamations

a. Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Mayor Canaday read the proclamation into the record and Arnie Guenther was present to accept it.

5. Presentation

a. Lewis County Update - Commissioner Fund

Commissioner Fund updated the Council on Lewis County issues.

6. Reports

Councilor Anzelini - had no report.

Councilor Greenwood - had no report.

Councilor Ricks - reported he attended the City Council selection process.

Councilor Coumbs - reported he attended Garlic Fest and has started working on Christmas lights in Borst Park.

Councilor Vogt - noted he has been studying information pertaining to his position on the City Council and spoke on prostate cancer awareness.

Mayor Pro-Tem Elmore - reported he attended the City Council selection process.

Mayor Canaday - reported she attended Garlic Fest, Hub City Car Show, Ribbon Cuttings, City Council selection process, Mayor and Commissioners meeting and the Riverside Nursing Home barbeque.

Kahle Jennings and Andy Oien - updated the Council on the aquifer levels.

COUNCILOR ANZELINI MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR GREENWOOD, TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA...motion PASSED...7-0.

8. Consideration to approve the Mayor's appointment to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee

COUNCILOR RICKS MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR GREENWOOD, TO APPROVE THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF SCOTT WHITE, JAN NONTELL, RICHARD JAMES AND BRITTANY WALKER TO THE LODGING TAX ADVISORY COMMITTEE...motion PASSED...7-0.@

9. Consideration of outdoor pool options

Mr. Hill addressed the Council and reported that the STOP group had asked that this be postponed to the next meeting as they had not received several pieces of information needed to proceed at this point. He stressed to the Council that there was only one more Council meeting before the October 1, 2015 grant deadline.

MAYOR PRO-TEM ELMORE MOVED, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR COUMBS, TO DIRECT STAFF TO COME UP WITH A PLAN B JUST IN CASE THE PLAN A CAN NOT COME TOGETHER IN TIME...motion PASSED...7-0.
