Ron Averil, LC Senior Center, addressed the Council and thanked them for funding the Senior Center at $15,000 for the year 2018.
Rebecca Staebler, CDA, addressed the Council and spoke on upcoming events.
3. Reports
Mayor Pro-Tem Vogt - reported he attended the CDA General Meeting and the George Washington fundraiser.
Councilor Elmore - reported he attended a Twin Transit meeting.
Councilor Greenwood - had no report.
Councilor Barnes - reported she attended the George Washington fundraiser and the Christmas tree lighting.
Councilor Abbarno - reported he attended the Turkey Trot,, Christmas tree lighting and thanked the CDA for the shop small event.
Councilor Luond - reported she attended the Turkey Trot.
Mayor Coumbs - reported he attended the George Washington fundraiser and the Christmas tree lighting. He added that he met with Jim Stafford, the artist creating the George and Mary Washington statue and has been working on the Borst Park Christmas lights.
Kim Ashmore - updated the Council on the Borst Avenue funding award from the State.
Rob Hill - updated the Council on the Severe Weather Shelter.

Finance Director Bret Brodersen presented the item to Council. After Council discussion and concern with the proposed funding to the Chamber, Discover Lewis County and the Fox Theatre,

Mr. Pierson addressed the Council and reviewed the proposed changes. Councilor Abbarno suggested adding language giving staff discretion to extend deadlines in extenuating circumstances in section #2. Mr. Pierson stated that would be added for second reading.
