Benefit for the historic Fox Theatre restoration and to launch a feature film, "Ghost of Hangman's Bridge" and a documentary, "NW Massacre: A Centralia Story".
Folksinger and storyteller Mark Ross will host the event and perform. Mark plays about a dozen instruments and has brought his repertoire of 500+ folk funes, railroad songs and labor music from one coast to the other.
Singer/songwriter Brendan Phillips plays a truckload of instruments ranging from guitar to accordian to musical saw. Brendan will also perform with his collaborator, the popular multi-instrumentalist Russ Gores.
Linda Allen will bring her songs and stories of justice, hope, spirit and love. With more than 40 years of performing as well as collecting songs and stories, Allen recently completed her ninth recording.
Brian Walls will join the stage as a local singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
Joining the performers on stage will be Tim Browning, a highly regarded historian of the area.
Concert producer, history researcher and film producer Ursula Richards-Coppole will be on hand to welcome the audience.
Doors open at 1:30 with a Silent Auction, followed by the featured speakers. The concert begins promptly at 3:00. Special printed programs, t-shirts and other souvenirs will be available.
