Sandbag Stations/EOC will not be activated

The forecast for the Chehalis River flood elevation has been revised.  New information from the National Weather Service indicates that that crest predicted for the Chehalis River (measured at the Mellen Street gauge) will reach about 62 12 feet, well below flood stage of 65 feet.  Therefore, sandbag stations will not be open and the Centralia Emergency Operations Center will not be activaed.  According to Centralia Police Chief Robert Berg, city officials will continue to monitor river levels closely throughout the day.
