  Kresky Avenue Chip Sealing

The City of Centralia will begin chip sealing Kresky Avenue between Scott Johnson and the Gold Street Viaduct Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. This work is scheduled to take two to three working days. The speed limit will be reduced to 20 mph during the project.

Chip sealing consists of crews spraying a hot oil onto the existing road surface and covering it up with a 3/8 inch rock. This preventative maintenance process extends the life of this roadway seven to ten years.

Citizens are asked to slow down, obey the speed limit and watch out for work crews. During this project if you have any concerns or questions please contact Kim Ashmore, Street/Stormwater/Fleet Manager at (360) 330-7512.
