  Chehalis Watershed Festival

The Chehalis Watershed Festival is a fun, free, family event returning to Morrison Riverfront Park in Aberdeen for the tenth year.  This widely popular community event will take place Saturday, October 10th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Whether youíre a kid or a grandparent, the festival is sure to appeal to you. It will include crafts, educational exhibits, demonstrations, history exhibits, prize drawings, live music and a feast.

Everyone loves salmon. The Festival will give participants a chance to celebrate this mighty fish living in our local streams, rivers, and estuary.  The fishy fun starts with a chance to climb inside Fin, the 28-foot long salmon. You can make your own salmon image to take home through participating in fish-printing and other crafts, and then spin the salmon life-cycle wheel for a chance to win lots of great prizes. For lunch, salmon is baking just for you, and itís free too, thanks to the Chehalis Tribe.

The Watershed Festival celebrates not just the fish in our rivers, but the people who call the watershed home.  Come on down to learn about some of the historic activities that have occurred along our regionís waterways, and enter a drawing to win a tour of the river and its historic sites by boat.

The dynamic jazz duo Red and Ruby will be performing from 11 to 1 p.m., so be prepared to tap your toes or try your best swing moves.

Plan to come to the Chehalis Watershed Festival on October 10th.
