CHEHALIS PARTFinalLogoThe Chehalis Watershed Festival is a fun, free, family event this year at a new location Simpson Elementary School in Montesano, 519 Simpson Ave West.   This popular community event will take place Saturday, September 17th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Whether youíre a kid or a grandparent, the festival is sure to appeal to you. It will include crafts, educational exhibits, demonstrations, history exhibits, prize drawings, and a feast.
Everyone loves salmon. The Festival will give participants a chance to celebrate this mighty fish and our local streams, rivers, and estuary in which they live.  You can play in several different watershed models, participate in crafts, and then spin the salmon life-cycle wheel for a chance to win lots of great prizes. For lunch, salmon is baking just for you, and itís free too, thanks to the Chehalis Tribe.
The Watershed Festival celebrates not just the fish in our rivers, but the people who call the watershed home.  Come on down to learn about some of the historic activities that have occurred along our regionís waterways.
Plan to come to the Chehalis Watershed Festival on September 17th!  Hope to see you there!
