  Sidewalk Access Ramp Work

The City of Centralia will begin work at the intersection of Borst Avenue and Johnson Road next week as we replace sidewalk access ramps and curb in preparation for asphalt patching of Borst Avenue where an emergency sewer project took place this spring.  The contractor, R. C. Walsh and Company, will begin by demolishing the existing sidewalk access ramps on the NW, SW and SE corners and replacing them with new ramps that meet current federal standards.  The curb along the north side of Borst Avenue between Johnson Road and Allen Street that was removed by the emergency sewer contractor will also be replaced.   Paving is scheduled to be completed by the end of August 2017.

Work will not impact vehicular traffic at this time but the public is urged to use caution through the work area.
