  New Winter Advisory

At 3:23 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, the National Weather Service released a new winter weather snow advisory for the I-5 corridor of Lewis, Thurston, Pierce and King counties, in effect 7 p.m. thru 9 a.m. tomorrow, Sunday.

* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS...CHEHALIS...CENTRALIA...OLYMPIA...
  TACOMA...FEDERAL WAY...SEATTLE AND BREMERTON.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF A TRACE TO 2 INCHES
  ARE EXPECTED FROM TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

* TIMING...AREAS OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED TO EXPAND THIS EVENING. SNOW
  WILL GRADUALLY MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO RAIN AT LOWER ELEVATIONS
  FROM LATE EVENING ON BUT MIGHT REMAIN AS SNOW ON HIGHER HILLS
  THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

Snow is also in the forecast for many nights this week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR
FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
