Scheduled Power Outage: January 7-8, 2020

The City of Centralia Light Department is constructing a new 115-kV transmission line (Line) that will extend from the existing Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) transmission line at the intersection of Salzer Valley Road and Centralia Alpha Road and run along Salzer Valley Road and East Summa Street to a new Substation that is being constructed at 201 East Summa Street. The Line is approximately 1.5 miles long.

There are two planned six (6) hour outages and road closures for January 7, 2020 and January 8, 2020 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.  The outage location will be on Salzer Valley Road extending out to Proffitt Road and Centralia Alpha Road.  The contractor will be transferring services and removing old conductor. All affected customers will be notified at least 72 hours prior to these outages. A detour route will be set up over Seminary Hill with signs in place.

The above road closures and power outages are to protect the contractor workers through the most difficult parts of the project.  Thank you for your patience and please be cautious as you drive through the detour area.
