Per Chapter 7.06 of the Centralia Municipal Code, it is unlawful for any person except licensed dealers to keep any dog two months of age or older in the city without procuring a license for such dog.  The fee for a license is $10 for a spay or neutered dog and $30 if the dog is not spay or neutered. Upon qualifying, low income seniors or low income disable citizens can get a lifetime tag for a one time fee of $5. Proof of current rabies vaccination is required for all dog licenses. The license is good for a calendar year (Jan. 1 - Dec. 31) and is subject to a $20 late fee if not renewed prior to Feb. 1.
