  Pearl Street Memorial Plaza (Splash Pad)

The Pearl Street Memorial Plaza was constructed in 2017 to the memory of all of the men and women who served our country with honor in the armed forces.
 

Park Location: 539 N. Pearl Street (at the intersection of Hansen and Pearl Street) 

Park Hours: 

  • Dry deck fountain hours are 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
  • The Plaza is closed between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
  • Hours are subject to change due to weather, maintenance, or special events.

Pearl Street Plaza (Dry Deck Fountain) Rules and Regulations

The plaza/fountain is unsupervised but it is under 24-hour recorded video surveillance.

  1. Young children must have adult supervision within view at all times.
  2. The fountain water is continually recycled and treated, but it’s not suitable for drinking.
  3. Children and all infants who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers.
  4. Bathing is strictly prohibited as well as the use of soaps, detergents, and shampoos.
  5. Help us maintain water quality by keeping the fountain free of litter, food, and pets.
  6. Those with health problems, such as sore or inflamed eyes, nasal or ear discharges, skin or body infections or cuts, diarrhea, nausea, infections or wounds, are not allowed on the dry deck fountain area.
  7. Anyone with a communicable disease or who have been ill with vomiting or diarrhea within the last 2 weeks are prohibited from using this fountain (WAC 246-260-121).
  8. All diapers must be changed at designated diaper changing areas and properly disposed of in garbage cans (WAC 246-260-121).
  9. Use of the fountain requires everyone to have a shower prior to entering (WAC 246-260-121).  Please shower at your homes before and after using the fountain.
  10. No gum, food, drinks, or glass containers of any kind are allowed in the fountain area.
  11. No running, horse or rough play, fighting, excessive noise, or foul language.
  12. Do not sit on spray heads or cover water fixtures or drains.
  13. No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs may use the plaza.
  14. Smoking is prohibited within 100-feet of the playground and fountain.
  15. No animals are permitted within 4-feet of the fountain, except documented service animals.
  16. No skateboards, roller blades, scooters or bikes in the dry deck fountain area.
  17. Dry deck fountain hours are 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
  18. The Plaza is closed between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
  19. Hours are subject to change due to weather, maintenance, or special events.
Pursuant to Centralia Municipal Code (CMC) 10.33 ANYONE DAMAGING PROPERTY OR VIOLATING PARK RULES WILL BE PROSECUTED.
