Press Release - Gold Street Repaving

The City of Centralia Public Works Department will be improving the roadway on N Gold Street from E Main Street to Marion Street beginning April 19, 2021. This project includes pavement repair, removing and paving the roadway, installing new signs and striping. The Contractor, Granite Construction, will be closing one lane of travel at a time and utilizing flaggers with a pilot car to move traffic. Occasionally streets in the project area will be closed to through traffic and on-street parking will not be available as the pavement is removed and replaced. Through traffic is advised to use alternate routes to minimize congestion during active work. The roadway work is expected to continue for the next three weeks as weather allows. The City and Granite Construction will work closely with area residents to minimize impacts during construction.
