  Harrison Avenue Public Works Improvements

The City of Centralia Public Works Department will be improving the roadway on Harrison Avenue from Johnson Road to Galvin Road/W. Reynolds Avenue beginning January 3, 2022. This project includes the installation of new storm sewer, sidewalk, curb, gutter, ADA ramps, street lighting, planing and paving operations, striping, permanent signing and other work. Construction is currently scheduled to continue through early summer of 2022. The contractor, Active Construction, Inc. will be closing one lane of travel and utilizing flaggers to move traffic or will shift the lanes to maintain one lane in each direction. For the majority of the project, the shoulders will be closed to allow the Contractor to install the storm sewer and concrete sidewalks. Thru traffic is advised to use alternate routes to minimize congestion during active work. The City and Active Construction Inc. will work closely with area residents to minimize impacts during construction.

Thank you for your cooperation.   If you require additional information, please contact Sierra Anderson with the City of Centralia Engineering Department at 360-330-7512.
