Sports Fields Rental Application and Information Packet - If you want to hold a tournament, camp/clinic, or other event using athletic fields, you will find the information you need in this packet.  Included are fees, policies, requirements and forms for rental and use of baseball, softball and soccer fields in Centralia. 

Ball Park Regulations

Insurance - Centralia Parks & Recreation requires that all organized users of sports fields provide a certificate of liability insurance, naming the City of Centralia as additional insured.  If your organization is unable to provide the required insurance, it is available to purchase here:  User Liability Insurance Program

Practice Fields - Centralia Parks & Recreation works with local teams and sports organizations to provide practice time on fields during the season on a space available basis and according to priority use criteria.  See Practice Field Use for more information on ballfield reservation procedures.  Contact the Parks & Recreation office at (360) 330-7688 for more information or to schedule practice times.


Fort Borst Park (2020 Borst Avenue): Fort Borst Park is the most significant park facility in the city system. Because of its size, central location, varied natural features and diverse recreational opportunities, Fort Borst Park attracts large numbers of local and visiting park users. This well developed park is located at the confluence of the Chehalis and Skookumchuck rivers and is the home to the historic Borst homestead, schoolhouse, arboretum and Fort Borst Blockhouse.

In addition to being an important historic site, the park’s athletic facilities include full service little league, baseball, softball and soccer complexes comprising over four baseball fields, four softball fields and numerous soccer fields. Additional athletic fields, an indoor pool and outdoor tennis complex are located nearby and jointly managed with the Centralia School District. Water access includes adjacent river frontages, Fort Borst Lake and concrete boat ramp along the Chehalis River. Fort Borst Park is very popular with large groups and includes group picnic shelter and indoor facility rentals.

Borst Park Soccer Fields (2500 Pioneer Way):  Features grass soccer fields set up seasonally with 3 full-sized, 2 mid-sized and 5 micro-sized fields with other options possible. Centralia Youth Soccer and Centralia School District have priority use of fields during their seasons.

Borst Park Softball Complex (2300 Pioneer Way):  This 4-field complex offers 3 softball fields and 1 baseball/softball field.  Fields have skinned infields, lights, permanent fencing for slowpitch (3 fields) and baseball (1 field), with portable fencing available for fastpitch or youth baseball.  60' and 70' bases are available on all fields, plus 90' on one field.  Amenities include concession stand, bleachers, restrooms, overhead netting and picnic tables.

Lewis County Sports Complex (2300 Pioneer Way):  This unique complex offers 4 baseball fields in the corners of the property with grass infields, 90' bases and 405' permanent fences, or 4 softball fields in the hub of the complex with skinned infields, 60' bases and portable fencing available.  Amenities include bleachers, portable toilets, and overhead netting in the softball area.  This complex is located on Centralia School District property.

Wheeler Field (2300 Pioneer Way)

This traditional baseball stadium features stadium seating for 570 people, press box, scoreboard, concession stands and restrooms.   Wheeler is home to Centralia College, Centralia High School, American Legion and Twin Cities Babe Ruth baseball programs, and is used for numerous other baseball tournaments and games throughout the summer months.

Little League Fields (902 Johnson Road)

Centralia Little League operates 2 fenced and lighted fields, plus an additional field without those features at Borst Park for their league and tournament play.  Amenities include concession stands, scoreboards, bleachers and nearby restrooms.  Scheduled use of Little League fields are managed by Centralia Little League.



Riverside Park Fields (300 Lowe Street):  This park features 3 youth-sized all grass baseball fields available for picnickers, groups and organizations to use on a drop-in basis. The large open space can also accommodate a full-sized soccer field or space for other athletic activities.  Little League baseball and Centralia Youth Soccer have priority use of fields during their seasons. Other park amenities include picnic shelters, restrooms, playground and skate park.
