PLANNING COMMISSION

The City of Centralia Planning Commission is a voluntary board of up to seven members and two alternates that review citywide development goals, regulations and policies; as well as making recommendations to City Council on specific development applications, subdivisions, rezones, annexations, etc.

City Planning includes developing plans that will provide vision and goals for future development in the city, creating and implementing the City’s Zoning Ordinance to ensure that minimum development standards are met, creating and implementing the subdivision ordinance to ensure the division of land is carried out in a way to ensure adequate sized lots for development and access to the property, and protecting historically important neighborhoods and sites in the city for existing and future citizens.
