BUILDING PERMIT INFORMATION:

  • Demolition Permits:  Prior to submitting a demolition or remodel/renovation permit application, please contact the Southwest Clean Air Agency at (360) 574-3058, to determine if your project requires permitting through that agency.  Prior to the issuance of your demolition or remodel/renovation permit, city staff will ask for verification of meeting the Southwest Clean Air Agency requirements. 
  • ONLINE BUILDING PERMITS - Applications (Reroof, mechanical, plumbing, remodel, residential, commercial, and industrial permits)
    Electrical Permits go to WA State Labor and Industries
    All building related permit applications, along with construction plans and associated documentation, may be submitted online.

    • Online Permitting - WE ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING ISSUES WITH OUR ONLINE PERMIT SUBMITTAL PROGRAM.  IF YOU RECEIVE AN "ERROR 500" MESSAGE PLEASE DO NOT RESUBMIT.  WE ARE RECEIVING THE APPLICATIONS AND WILL PROCESS THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  THE SOFTWARE COMPANY IS AWARE AND IS WORKING TO FIX THE PROBLEM.  Please contact our office at 360-330-7662 if you have any questions or would like to confirm receipt of the online submittal.  Thank you for your patience!
  • New Construction and Substantial Remodel Projects: please keep mind that development must meet current regulations.  Including, but not limited to, a minimum 20' x 20' enclosed garage for single family residential projects, a minimum 10' x 20' enclosed garage for accessory dwelling units, and all driveways, parking areas and access points must be paved with asphalt, concrete or other hard surface material as approved by the city engineer. 

Our offices are now open with restrictions regarding COVID-19 protocol.  Masks are required along with six foot separation between occupants.
