2025 Development Regulations

Cities that are fully planning under the Growth Management Act (GMA) conduct the “periodic review and update” of comprehensive plans and development regulations required under RCW 36.70A.130 (5).  Development regulations for a city include the following: zoning ordinance, subdivision code, critical area ordinance, shoreline master plan, building codes, and design and development guidelines.  All of these documents need to be consistent with and implement the comprehensive plan as per RCW 36.70A.040, WAC 365-196-800 & 810.

The following table will provide draft versions of the development regulations as they are updated.  The DRAFT versions will also provide an opportunity for residents and interested parties to provide feedback to city leaders and staff.
