Shut-off Procedure and Payment Plan Options During Heat-Related Weather Alerts
The City of Centralia strives to keep our utility customers safe and informed. Engrossed Substitute House Bill 1329 (ESHB 1329) was enacted by the State Legislature, effective July 2023, requiring water and electric utilities to delay any shut-offs during heat-related weather alerts issued in our service area by the National Weather Service. The City of Centralia will resume their normal procedures regarding past due balances and disconnection of service once the heat-related weather alert has expired for our service area. If your service has already been shut off when a heat related weather alert is issued, you can request a specialized payment plan to reconnect your services. To request a payment plan and reconnection, please call 360-330-7657 during regular business hours.
