What We Do
City Planning includes:
- Develop long-range plans that will provide vision and goals for the future development in the City and the Urban Growth Area (UGA),
- Create and implement the City's Zoning Ordinance to ensure that minimum development standards are met,
- Create and implement the Subdivision Code to ensure the division of land is carried out in a way to ensure adequate sized lots for development and access to the property are met, and
- Protecting historically important neighborhoods and sites in Centralia for existing and future citizens.

Site Plan Review Committee, Binding Site Plans, Boundary Line Adjustments, Comprehensive Plan Amendments, Conditional Use Permits, Critical Area Assessment, Final Plats, Floodplain Permit, Large Lots, Master Planning Application, Planned Unit Developments, Rezones or Zoning Amendments, SEPA Materials, Short Plats, Site Plans, Street Vacations, General Subdivision Application, Use Permits, and Variances.
