  • South Yew Street and South Street Improvement Project (Construction Summer/Fall 2025)

The City of Centralia will be reconstructing South Yew Street between the current end of sidewalk south of Art Lehmann Drive and South Street as well as South Street between South Yew Street and Woodland Avenue this summer. Work will include water main replacement, gravity sanitary sewer main installation, stormwater drainage, roadway widening, sidewalks and joint use pedestrian/bicycle sidewalk, street lighting and modifying the at grade railroad crossing. This project is funded by the Wastewater Department, Water Department and the City of Centralia Transportation Benefit District Fund.

  • 2025 Sanitary Sewer Pipe Bursting Project (Construction Summer 2025)

The City of Centralia will be replacing existing sanitary sewer mains this summer using trenchless methods. Work will take place in the southeast portion of town to include: Kresky Avenue, Grand Avenue and Union Avenue areas. This project is part of the City's ongoing effort to reduce inflow and infiltration into the sanitary sewer system.

  • Reynolds Avenue and Harrison Avenue Corridor Improvement Project (Design 2024/2025, Construction 2027 - 2028)

The City of Centralia and Lewis County are working on a joint project to improve Harrison Avenue (Galvin Road to Kuper Road) and Reynolds Avenue (Harrison Avenue to Pearl Street).  The project is currently in the design and right of way acquisition phase. Construction is estimated to begin in 2027. Please see the fact sheet below for more information:

Reynolds Avenue and Harrison Avenue Corridor Improvement Project (Spanish Version)

The City of Centralia has been awarded a federal grant to complete resurfacing of First Street between Harrison Avenue and N. Pearl Street (SR507). The improvement will include repaving the roadway, installation of a pedestrian flashing signal at the First Street crossing near Harrison Avenue, restriping of the roadway and replacing signs. Construction is estimated to start late summer 2025 and be completed in fall 2025.
